Frequently asked questions
Your question isn't here? Write to us using the feedback form.
What exactly does StudioSound Pro do?
StudioSound Pro improves your microphone in real time: it removes background noise, evens out loudness and gives your voice a clear, warm sound. The improved voice appears as a virtual microphone you pick in Discord, OBS, TeamSpeak, Zoom or games.
What do I need?
Windows 10 or 11 (64-bit) and any microphone – headset, USB mic or audio interface. The setup can install the virtual microphone (VB-CABLE) for you. A Mac version is planned.
Can I try StudioSound Pro for free?
Yes. After downloading and creating a free account you can use every feature for 24 hours – no payment details needed. The trial ends automatically and does not turn into a subscription.
How much does it cost and how do I cancel?
€9.99 per month or €95.90 per year (20% cheaper). Cancel any time to the end of the term – in the app under “Account & licence”, on the website under “My account” or via “Cancel contracts here” at the bottom of every page.
On how many PCs can I use the app?
One subscription covers one device at a time. When you switch PCs, release the old device in the app or your account and activate the new one – no support ticket needed.
Does the app work offline?
Yes, for up to 3 days. The licence is checked online regularly; in between StudioSound Pro keeps working offline.
Is my voice uploaded?
No. Your microphone signal and recordings are processed only on your PC. Only account and licence data – and settings for cloud backup if you turn it on – are stored, encrypted.
How much latency is there?
Depending on microphone, buffer size and noise suppression strength, usually about 40–90 ms from microphone to virtual microphone – the app shows the exact value in its header. For voice in Discord, streams and meetings this is usually not noticeable. For less delay, pick a smaller buffer under “Settings” or a lighter noise suppression level.
My voice doesn't sound perfect yet – what can I do?
Run the auto calibration again in a quiet room and speak at your normal volume. Then compare before and after under “Recording & comparison” and adjust single controls. If that doesn't help, send us feedback.
